AMCS offers English as a Second Language Program (ESL) for our students in PK through 8th Grade who are English Language Learners: The ESL program aims to:
a. Enable emergent bilingual students to become proficient in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in the English language
b. Enable student to apply their mastery of English language skills in grade-level academic content such as in mathematics, science, and social studies, as integral parts of their academic goals and to ensure equal access to high-quality education
c. Address the affective, linguistic, and cognitive needs of emergent bilingual students.
